Ok, so as not to hijack the other thread, here's replies to flush and sets84 question on my spell rotation. And yeah, damn malu when just above the tank. I forgot to mention that it's in 5-mans. Aduh!

And looking back at the raid fights, except for Gruul, I'm usually in #5-#6 spot on the Damage meter. Mags and Loot Reaver is in the coming weeks to learn and hopefully by then, I'd have changed some of the enchants and gear that I have.

VT - Vampiric Touch
VE - Vampiric Embrace
SWP - Shadow Word : Pain
SWD - Shadow Word : Death
MF - Mind Flay
MB - Mind Blast

Spell rotation : Opening starts with this sequence -

VT - SWP - VE - MB - SWD - MF - MF - time to refresh VT.

After that, it's a refresh of the VT, SWP, VE, in that sequence based on the duration of the spell.

Whenever MB or SWD is up, it gets casted until I'm hovering near the threat list or with mobs that drop aggro. Else, it's only MF-MF-MF and refreshing dots VT, SWP. VE mostly up all the time but if it drops, I'm not so bothered else pull too much aggro.

I'm using NaturEnemyCastbar to check on DoTs.

Thanks for the link. The problem with the 1st page is that it's a summary. Not sure how accurate so most of the time, I'm hanging out at http://www.shadowpriest.com . And still another problem is that because I've not reached the level of gear that those Shadow Priests are posting that it's hard to see what I'm getting at my lower gear.

Very geram coz last night, still couldn't get the 800 DPS that the spreadsheet projected, even with the spell rotations that's in the excel sheet and trinkets. So grrr...

pr0digy : Yep. I know that. The only place I would use DPS numbers for comparison is Dr.Boom test. Even if the differences is about 10-50 DPS, I'd still be happy. Although relooking the numbers, it could be that what I'm getting is actually accurate. Time to hunt for more enchants and gear. Ah well.

flush : Yep. The gear is the irritating bit. But I'm relax about gearing up which probably fueled my frustration of not doing enough DPS! LOL! The only thing left now are certain enchants, Darkmoon:Crusade, Bracers and Gloves from Kara. Mind you, I'm only looking at gearing up for SSC, TK. Hopefully with the guild's raid progression, it'll be easier to gear up for better DPS.

NECB and casting VT during the last 1.5-2 secs : Yep, I do. The only time that I don't is either when there is lag spikes or when the VT gets resisted. With my current gear, it gets resisted about 1% of all the VTs that I do cast.

Quartz : Done. Along with stopcasting macros.

flush + dishwasher : And true on the VE bit. I should lay it off. But then again, overhealing shouldn't be generating aggro unless it's AOE damage that is being taken by the party. So, hmmm... but again, it depends on who is the tank. I'll hold it off and see what happens during tonight's raid.

hey flush, how many mana pots did u bring to 25-mans? getting a bad feeling that i'm probably going to bring more than my usual 20 for wipe nights.
