So I’ve moved into my new place in Seremban Sendayan Matrix development.

This is how the doors in the houses look like.

I’d assumed both the door and the frame are made of wood. I’m trying to install a pull-up bar like this one below, where both ends are anchored into the door frame.

In my old house where the frame is made of wood, what I did was to drill small holes into the door frame with wood drill before screwing bigger wood tapping screws into those holes to secure the anchors. Both the screws and the drill enter into the frame like a hot knife on butter.

But in my new Matrix house, both the screw and the drill just cannot go in. It feels a little like plastic when I knock on it. It also sounds hollow at some areas and solid at others.

Does anyone know what material the frame is, and how can I secure the screws in?

TS, this is it.
Nowadays is much more cheaper to use metal frame. Mass production is easy as wood price has been sky rocket.

So I guess is not going to be easy job for u.

The frame is metal.
The inside filling is concrete/mortar and bricks.

So this will be tricky to drill through as you need to start with HSS metal bit then continue with masonry bit due to the diff materials.

You can see the doorframe installation steps here in https://www.ewarehouse.my/metal-doors-windo...-8-w-x-7-h-left

Since its a new home I'd prefer to keep it unmarked (coz once you drill it will leave holes), and maybe making an A-frame or T-frame out of 3x3's and a few bolts/screws as a semi-portable device would be easier?
Something like these:
