I got one story.
Last month my grandfather was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer.
After the hospital visit, he stayed at home contemplating his situation but accepted it. At that point, he could still talk, eat normally.

When his condition got worse, my aunty got worried and didn't know what to do. Any people with common sense would immediately bring my grandfather to a hospital to get him checked and get his vitals right?

no, instead my aunty called her other half-siblings and discussed the situation. Suddenly, we all was told that my grandfather had susuk. I've known him for all my life. He was in the local mosque committee, he works at a palm plantation, he never dabble with witchraft, nor do I see the need to. Yet, these relatives make the sudden announcement that he has that.

So instead of calling a doctor or bringing him to a hospital, they decided to call an 'ustaz'. Badabing, badaboom, that ustaz claim the saka needs to be inherited before they can remove the susuk. Meanwhile, my grandfather condition worsen up to a point he can barely speak, can barely eat and gasping for air. He had hypertension and diabetes but stopped taking them because my relatives didnt want to take the meds for him.

So each night, they just mingled around my grandfather in his room, reading yasin, playing phones, chitchatting while my grandfather is suffering. Some relatives suggested to bring him to a hospital just in case anything bad happens, but the senior relatives told them the ustaz is going to try and hold a dialogue with the saka to get it off my grandfather.

Within a few days my father passed away and after that, everyone just went quiet as if nothing actually happened. No news of the supposed saka, no news of the ustaz, and those so-called half-siblings simply went back to their home and never came again.

Fuck them all.
Even if my grandfather had no hope to survive the cancer, he definitely wouldn't have to suffer like that without any medical attention.
