My first property I did it myself. End up wasn't expert enough, later had problem with some laminated wood flooring that squeeks. One uneven wall only found out when want to install wall cabinet at much later stage.
Now 2nd property, should I spend the money to have experts come rectify? But its so pricy. Considering this as I want would much prefer to focus budget on renovation since its bare unit.
Anyone has experience to share?

Getting Started

|
If it is a new property, the warranty period against defects is 24 months from handover of key. Strata title is 36 months. So unless yours is a subsale, that should be enough time to identify the faults/defects.
There are defects checklist readily available in Internet that you can get and use it to check. Why need to hire someone else to check on this?

Some defects are apparent during vp and some few months, a year or much later. If you have spare cash, go ahead. Ensure is a registered building inspector, otherwise your developer will dispute the report without reading it. Having said the above, your developer may not entertain all the defects as some may consider minor and does affect the occupant directly. http://www.architectcentre.com.my/ac/p2.asp?id=6
