using ATV 4K, disney/hotstar PQ is definitely much worse than Netflix/ Amazon prime. no support for Dolby Atmos also. will not cont my subs.

i switched mine to India and downloaded the app and after that switched back to Malaysia. Mine's LG. I tweeted Disney+ over at twitter and their representative's reply was "currently not supported on LG TV".

For me I'm using Samsung UHD TV, and previously I tried change to India, but Hotstar app doesn't appear at the app store at all.
So I have to change to United States, then this Hotstar app is available to install.

the only worth smart tv platform worth using is AndroidTV, with chromecast built-in. Bad experience with Tizen TV, limited apps and slow/none updates.

it's not certified android box. widevine L1 box like mi TV stick or mi box s is the best so far for any video streaming apps coz can watch in true FHD / 4K quality.

the smart TV app support here in Malaysia is still a bit lackluster but i guess let's give them sometime, i'm sure they'll improve it once their clientele increases.

disney+hotstar is definitely not worth to subscribe at all. I dunno why we get this stupid hotstar but singapore getting disney+. Losing out so much content in dolby vision. Fuk it man. Stop thinking about using hotstar unless they fix the stupid app.

Best selling TVs in Malaysia are Samsung & LG. To not have a platform for these 2 TVs is not the best way to increase your clientele. It’s like a general car workshop who doesn’t service Perodua & Proton cars.

App support for game consoles is also missing for hotstar but no issue with D+

Well the amount of subscribers in India and Indonesia (both high population country) not sufficient to push for better app support? I don't see how the inclusion of Malaysian subscribers would push them to do better at app support.

But someone still want to defend Disney and Astro for their mistake.
They think Malaysians will not notice yet we are just like the same like SG.
We will complain about everything we can.
I do hope Disney will fix it soon.
Just abandon Disney+ Hotstar and move to Disney+ International.

India have a population of more than 1 million, it is impossible if they did not complain at all.
Plus the app have been there for many years already.
I don't know who makes a stupid decision to launch D+H with less supported devices and less 4K content where we are heading to 4K and Malaysians majority are having high speed internet at home and willing to pay more for best content.
Look at Netflix, they charge up to RM55 yet they have a successful business here in MY.
