Hmm, I just got some 3 months codes for Disney+ from my Amazon devices purchase. Should I try it with my FireTV stick 4K with Sharkvpn on my 300mbps Maxshit hmm.gif

Does Cloudfare's WARP work on FireTV stick?
If yes, then high possibility that you can access to SG D+ using WARP since you're on Maxis

just checking? how to access Disney+ from Astro ultra box? my LG TV does not support have to rely on phone app
*
If your LG is the SMART TV type running webOS... can try below
http://www.tolanic.com/how-to-watch-disney...aysia-on-lg-tv/
For series, you need to the episode into your watchlist through your phone of browser before accessing through TV... but for movies, it will work
No 4k though. cool2.gif

On which device you are using Disney+ & how to do you know it is not in 4K?
*
On shieldtv, very easy, if u cannot switch on nvidia ai upscaling, means is 4k. If still can switch between basic and ai upscaling, means it is not native 4k.

Next you can try their own MediaStreamer service.
Try to use their DNS directly into your device and see how it works.
Kinda surprised you said cannot get 4K.
Mine D+ US, using Getflix can get 4K on Unifi Air.

Bro how u know is 4k ya? I tried getflix also cannot get lol.

Expected..it is known issue since last month..

It seems that there is issue with the Disney+ app for android tv or their server because the output is capped max at 1440p..
Only Shield TV 2019 users will notice this thanks to AI upscaling notification.

Maybe can try downgrade the app..

If you read through this thread - you'll probably see a lot of ppl complaining about the substandard of hotstar variation of D+ available in Malaysia. In fact I've seen quite a few who wouldn't continue after 3 months, some like me opted for the international D+ instead (using VPN)

jimmychangas has a very good summary written here (diff thread):

If you're keen on Disney's Original Series such as Star Wars' Mandalorian, Marvel's stuff and don't feel like messing with VPN you can consider subscribing to D+ Hotstar but do take note of the above

thanks for the mention! biggrin.gif

I got subscribe SurfShark. Their Canada gateway is pretty good. I can stream 4k on my Android TV using Maxis Fiber over 2.4Ghz Wifi (speed around 60+mbps, after connecting to VPN about 40mbps)
However for some reason their Singapore gateway is very slow. Stutters a lot.

I tied my Apple subscription to my DiGi postpaid account. Subscribed Hotstar using Apple, then get billed by DiGi at the end of the month.

I'm using ExpressVpn. No problem watching Disney+ worldwide except Singapore. Already chat with their help centre about this issue and they promise to look into it.
I use the same VPN for Netflix, Hulu and HBO Max.

Guys wta far Malaysians if you want Disney the only way is from hotstar app or with astro?
2. Are all the content the same on hotstar app and disney+astro??
3.if using hotstar app are everything heavily censored???
Like besides nudity and sex are curse words and gory death censored out???

Asking all this to find out how it will be like with the Netflix + astro merger... I am fine if content censored nudity + sex scenes. But it is a huge no if they are cutting out curse word and gory death bcs it will spoil the story, like you might miss out on a major character getting killed all bcs someone thinks the scene is too gory..

from the image quality on the TV.
whenever I play something the movie starts at low res first, then after a few seconds I can see that the image sharpness suddenly "upgraded" to crystal clear 4k.
Because my home TV is pretty big (i think 50 inches) so it'll be obvious when the video is playing back at 1080p (will be slightly blur)

Anyone notice the video quality is worsening?
Running with 300mbps UNIFI. Compare with Prime video, Netflix, and apple tv. Disney+ video quality is the worse...
