PETALING JAYA: Ketua Pengarah Kesihatan Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah mengingatkan orang ramai agar kekal duduk di rumah, setelah gambar-gambar menunjukkan ramai yang cuba merentas daerah dan negeri tersebar di media sosial hari ini.

Sebilangan besar kenderaan dilihat dalam gambar bersesak di sekatan jalan raya (SJR) plaza tol Gombak dan Sungai Besi.

“Ke manakah arah tujuan anda pada hujung minggu ini?” tanya Noor Hisham di Facebook, merujuk kepada gambar-gambar berkenaan.

“Pergerakan besar-besaran masih berlaku walaupun larangan merentas daerah dan negeri telah dikeluarkan.

Membawa jangkitan wabak dari satu kawasan ke satu kawasan lain tidak akan membantu dalam usaha kita untuk membendung penularan jangkitan virus Covid-19.”

Beliau memberi amaran bahawa peningkatan kes yang tidak terkawal akan menyebabkan sistem kesihatan negara “lumpuh”.

“Jika lebih malang, tiada lagi katil untuk anda di hospital. Apatah lagi jika anda tenat dan kritikal tetapi katil ICU sudah penuh semuanya,” kata beliau.

Sebelum ini, Menteri Dalam Negeri Hamzah Zainudin berkata, tiada gunanya cuba merentas sempadan negeri untuk pulang ke kampung halaman sebelum “lockdown” dikuatkuasakan pada 1 Jun.

“Nak lari ke mana? Kampung? Kenapa nak lari? ‘Lockdown’ satu negara, ke mana saja mereka pergi, akan dikenakan sekatan.”

Katanya, polis akan berada di mana-mana sahaja, jadi tiada gunanya orang ramai cuba mengelak polis dengan bergerak ke tempat lain.

Ketua Polis Gombak Arifai Tarawe berkata, beliau tidak percaya gambar-gambar yang tular tersebut menunjukkan orang ramai cuba mengelak “lockdown”.

“Saya berada di situ dari 9.30 pagi hingga 1.30 petang hari ini. Kebanyakan pemandu ada surat daripada majikan atau polis.

“Hanya 14 kenderaan diarahkan berpatah balik dalam tempoh empat jam tersebut,” katanya

if they have the ability, capacity, competency to do the 3 stuff above. cases would be like what DG had claimed (looking back now seem like tokok) earlier this year when they annouce MCO 2.0.. flatten the curve on May 2021 ring any bells?

thn u should ask yourself right now which one is easier?
which one require less resources?

1. maintain MCO, power through the mass testing, contact tracing thn vaccination
or
2. announce full lockdown.....patient tested positive, KKM ask where his/her family is....he/she say pagi ini semua dah balik kampung
thn trace colleague, also balik another state
mati lah nak

Salah kkm let helang fly free.

for KKM no. 2 is easier. just take thier time trace one by one as cases come in.. mass testing means nees to deploy large fleet to the ground to perform those test at a short period.
