All transfer funds were a fraction of the revenue generated by the club so it was all self funded. Old Trafford as a stadium has been left to rot and is now a huge issue, a monument to our profit first policy.

Us buying Kante would be like Atletico Madrid buying Messi in his heyday. There is absolutely no reason for the player to join us. Kante is 30 and in the past 5 years; won the PL twice with 2 different teams, won the World Cup, won the Europa Cup and now the CL. He will want more trophies now. Even if he became available, I would expect City or Liverpool to snap him up if he stays in England.
