Have an 8th Gen i5, Inspiron 13.3" from mid-2018, so far so good, no issues, did RAM / SSD upgrades myself

I do like the 15.6" new Inspirons, due to the larger screen size

Using W10, you will definitely need to upgrade the RAM size to >8GB though

What are you buying the laptop for?
Casual internet surfing? Light work in Word/PowerPoint/Excel? Gaming?

This kind of requirement doesn't fit with the Dell Inspiron
You need Legion 5 from Lenovo

And no, you won't get Legion 5 with that RM3K budget

seems like you're looking for a well-rounded laptop that can do video editing plus occasional gaming.

3k is abit tight, but if you can stretch to 3.5k, consider the Acer Nitro 5:

I thirded for Acer Nitro 5. Is very good for gaming and using software for working. My partner is an accountant and mild gamer also just got her Nitro 5. She's so satisfied with the Acer customer service and the quality of the laptop she paid for. Happy gf happy me biggrin.gif thumbup.gif
