I received this message via sms for the first time. Can someone explain this shit to me. Usually there is always a grace period to top up and the account will not be instantly terminated.

Yes, I got it also, previously just wanna keep the number alive but RM1 sos once in a while. Then will have 3 months before they terminate, now the grace period only few days

Ok. Thanks. I'm going to call Hotlink after this. Looks like need to top up 1 day before it expires.

Hotlink is getting shitty these days.

Xpax will restrict credit purchase 2 weeks before the deactivation. By then to keep your number you will need to reload RM30 above IIRC.

I normally keep my number by credit purchase (1 day validity for RM1) every 35 days. One year should pay less than RM12 to keep my number.

Ok guys, I just called Maxis and they clarified the account won't be terminated. It will just be inactive. In my case the account will be terminated on 17 July 2021 which is about 2 months grace period from the expiry of the validity date. So I told the guy on the phone on the sms sent to me which clearly indicated the word "TERMINATED" and he suggested maybe that was an error on their part.

Really terrible to have such error. The person who authorised the message to be delivered to all Hotlink users is incompetent..

some older plan goes from active directly to terminated with no grace period.

the programmer was just lazy to differentiate between the plans. he just crafted a simple message saying inactive OR terminated.

Either that or the cs gave you wrong information. Nothing is in black n white btw.
