it seems like majority of stpm students are eager to enter public uni even they got a course tat is not their choice. reason? u may like it later or u can save lots of money.
so the question is for those ex stpm students who didnt enter public uni. wat are the reasons u didnt enter public uni? did u continue studying or work already after stpm? wat do u feel of the choices given? do u think u deserve it? do u think that form 6 wasted ur time? and dun forget to post up ur cgpa and the course that u got.
having been involved in some of the intake programmes in UTM, i'll give my point of view.so the question is for those ex stpm students who didnt enter public uni. wat are the reasons u didnt enter public uni? did u continue studying or work already after stpm? wat do u feel of the choices given? do u think u deserve it? do u think that form 6 wasted ur time? and dun forget to post up ur cgpa and the course that u got.
quite a majority of applicants from STPM were just trying their luck. some of them already knew that with whatever results they have, they have slim chance of getting in. but that doesnt stop the from applying, just for luck, who knows?
those who didnt bother to try would almost immediately opt for local IPTS, especially those with twinning programmes to go overseas. with PTPTN widely available, it's not hard for them to secure fundings to study. even those who didnt get the course that they want in IPTAs would opt to go to IPTS. the attitude usually is, if u dont like it, it's virtually impossible to be excellent in that course.
and finally, the only people who thinks that form 6 is a waste of time are those who managed to go into matrics, or those who skipped into diploma.
