31 year old pink salon "Magic Banana" owner Akinari Nishi and 40 year old store manager Shingo Miyamoto along with 4 others was arrested for providing obscene services with both female employees and customers naked.
The shop which operated from Ueno, Taito-ku of Tokyo was attracting customers saying that they could do obscene acts (fellatio service) naked under bright lighting, the shop receive an average of 80 customers each day.
They continued to operate at a discounted rate during the declaration state of emergency and achieved sales totalling 1.4 billion yen (RM53.2 million).
This is the first time that a public obscene crime has been applied to a pink salon in Tokyo.
