Hi all, I have a MacBook pro 2019 (16inch) with 16gb memory now, can I know where I can go to upgrade my RAM? I understand that the RAM is soldered, so it will be a tedious and risky process. Any pros in this matter or have done this before?

1.You really need more ram beyond 16GB ?
2.50-50 chance success to solder new RAM.

Hi currently I am using adobe after effect, very laggy and take super long to run... thats why want to upgrade my ram.. is it really that risky? actually I got ask a company already but they say the process will be done oversea then I dont want it.. so looking for some pros that are doing it locally.

How much ram usage at the moment when using after effect ? High chance not attributed to ram this laggy issue.

Would suggest even added 16GB it will not help much.
Heavy After effects would suggest done on Windows tower workstation.

You need better GPU, better core rendering and faster SSD.
These are expensive shit if you choose Apple as your working environment.

Plus, agency standard video production, mostly produce from Windows Tower because Apple can't provide better performance, unless you go for Mac Pro or iMac Pro. Macbook Pro has its limitation.
