Contractor stop all the work and lock my house dont want to give me the key ( grill door key installed by him which i don't have)

main reason is because he is unhappy with me for criticize him on his work :wrong air-cond electric & copper piping , wrong light point , coring wrong size, delivery time problem.

No communication from him, when facing problem he didn't discuss with me then himself sort it out change the design without informing me.

Supposedly everything including kitchen cabinet must be delivered this month, since he has resources problem i already tolerated with him to deliver the plaster ceiling by this week and kitchen cabinet can be later but also end up with this week he didn't do anything and didn't inform me that he couldn't deliver it by this week until i find out.


what action i can take now ?

is there anyway i can trap him through conversation recorder, such as he admit he purposely lock house not allow me to enter ? with such recorder can any action be taken ?

He has no right to lock your house.

Communicate with him first, if he still refuses to discuss & resolve whatever issue between the 2 of u, warn that u will make a police report.

How much in terms of % have u paid him?

50%, but not much, total bil 10 k , 5k paid, work done worth 3k. i can simply revenge by printing poster about his company in all VP condo.

conversation recorder in the app will notify the other party that you're "recording the call"..

I don't know the whole story but from what you wrote, I assumed you r pretty rude to the contractor. Most of them is not highly educated and might not have the desired outcome u normally expect in your working environment. Let's resolve it in a softer method

never rude to each other. His way of working is no communication , everything okay after that said he forgot made the mistake , then next week 9 dim next week 9 dim, then following week again, 2 months holding the key but the actual day working is about 4 days only. if i dont call him, he will never contact me..

Firstly, you must ask the management office and security guards to refuse him entry to you unit.

This is a business dispute and normally police dont entertain such report unless threat of physical harm or damage property.

Hire someone to open the grill and replace a new lock to grill and door to prevent his entry.

Send him a message saying you will hire another contractor to finish the job and not willing to pursue further with him and including seeking compensation.

Replace the locks are urgent as he may gain access and destroy your property.

Finally, I dont think you want him to finish the job.

no floor plan then how to determine point is correct position or not?
same goes for the so-called AC elec and piping point.
for renovation, everything needs to be relatively precise else who's fault is it?

contractor also can blame client for not being precise hence wasted precious resource and time.
