I love HBOMax. Problem is appletv only support DNS instead of VPN.
Can you recommend me which VPN work for hbomax?
So far I tried Expressvpn. Work but keep buffering or connection drop Surfshark : can't even load the main page. Their customers claim dns won't work. Flash router or another laptop Connect vpn and hdmi Nordvpn: clarify with customer care won't work for HBO max
Any tested and working?

Getting Started

Apple TV support DNS only I use smartdnsproxy and tested working on Hulu and Disney, my Netflix no longer works with DNS only, need to adjust at router as well. Alternatively you can use Wifi Router which supports VPN setup. CODE https://www.smartdnsproxy.com/Servers No experience with HBOmax

most likely you will need to setup the VPN on the router side or Apple TV connect through another PC that has the VPN client running (PC as router, something like split tunneling).

ExpressVPN works well for router as a VPN client, DDNS servers are slow and choppy.
I usually turn on my VPN via router if I’m streaming HBO Max or Disney+, more stable that way.

Scare buy wrong router later cannot use for expressvpn.

i'm using RT-AC86U and i have the following setup on expressvpn. the appletv 4k dns option is only a partial vpn and still leaks your actual location, thats why you see connection drops on hbomax.

Nice, I order one too yesterday next week arrive can test. So with such setup you got no issues streaming any HBO max or others streaming services right?

Yea I had issues using the DNS setup. After switching to the VPN tunnel, I've not had any issues with HBO max, disney+ etc.

I'm using ASUS AX-86U and install the VPN thru the router. Asus got a very good software to install VPN from many countries and you can control which country to use in the phone App. Very convenient.
