kind of shock when i checked my bp last time in clinic. all the while i thought its normal when i use my hem7120. 20mmhg easily make u from normal to pre-high bp T_T

i think better to compare with clinics reading. ask the doctor use the old school mercury thingy measure and compare with your own reading at home. then u can know how far out is the home reading

looks like omron is shitty. i just bought another hem-7156 from lazada. the reading is consistently lower by ~20 mmhg.

How to tell the omron reading is lower unless you have 2 devices to compare side by side?

yes i compare to reading at clinic. two clinics one using rossmax the other using omron also. the reading in clinic is roughly same but my device is showing 20mmhg lower.

I could get readings of like 100/60 for my BP from the Omron at home before I sleep. Which I find too low. Same goes for my wife. Hers can be 95/55. Surely that's too low to be accurate?

yes omron always give lower reading by ~20mmhg. i bought two omron one is hem7120 the other is hem7156. both are not accurate. i strongly suggest u bring and check together in clinic to be safe.

Yes I tested at a pharmacy too. My omron was consistently lower, and lower by a significant margin as you indicated.

I returned my omron and got a rossmax.

Tbf, the omron build quality is a lot better than rossmax. The plastic used is of higher quality and there are no squeaky sounding loose buttons which the rossmax has. But rossmax appears to produce readings more consistent with my expectations.
