I have HEM-7130 at home... when tested it's around

128-135 / 85-100 depending on the time and stress level...

but during blood donation, another brand was used and immediately my BP shoot up

150/110 etc... I'm not sure which one to trust...

i think better to compare with clinics reading. ask the doctor use the old school mercury thingy measure and compare with your own reading at home. then u can know how far out is the home reading
thankyou

Oh wow. I thought it was my unit.

I'm using Omron HEM-7156 and my readings are also lower by about 20+ mmHg compared to the rossmax ones I've used in the clinic and pharmacy. I even took mine to a pharmacy to compare side by side and Omron's is consistently lower.

I sent it back to Omron. They tested it and said it's working correctly. I didn't feel comfortable using it so I opted for a refund.

So what's a good brand then? Rossmax?

any brand will do.
I use my basic Omron with many people (wife, parents, sometimes children), it is accurate (I recorded the reading then compared with clinic’s meaurement - used the Mindray/ GE)

the doctor said that the cuff used also can affect the reading
(having a larger arm require larger cuff)

I could get readings of like 100/60 for my BP from the Omron at home before I sleep. Which I find too low. Same goes for my wife. Hers can be 95/55. Surely that's too low to be accurate?

posture affects blood pressure.

so does the size of the individual.

time of the day also affects the reading.

technique of using the device matters too.

Yes I tested at a pharmacy too. My omron was consistently lower, and lower by a significant margin as you indicated.

I returned my omron and got a rossmax.

Tbf, the omron build quality is a lot better than rossmax. The plastic used is of higher quality and there are no squeaky sounding loose buttons which the rossmax has. But rossmax appears to produce readings more consistent with my expectations.

This is the model I have been serving me well for more than 6yrs i think

i have brought it couple of times to clinic for verification, Dr confirmed reading is good.

So far, the build quality is good..if Im not mistaken, I chose this brand because it had 5yrs warranty then

https://www.rossmax.com/lv/produkti/monitor...re-monitor.html

But I guess, newer brand/models has connectivity with the phone, that would be cool to have better monitoring and recordings

Make sure the blood pressure machine that you are trying to buy - is registered with medical device authority (MDA).

You can search for any registered medical devices through the following link:

I brought my Japan made omron which I forgot the model, JPN 500 or something, to the pharmacy and check on my blood pressure on the spot using both their device and mine. (Same arm for sure) Ended up the Omron's reading is very much lower as compared to their Rossmax. Rossmax reading is more accurate as I have always been somewhere around that reading.

As far as I measured mine using that omron I always get shocked to have such low blood pressure and even start taking some salt thinking to replenish whatever that is lacking.

My blood pressure has been stable and consistent. Ever since using that particular device I keep on being in fear of that low blood pressure whilst my husband thought his blood pressure is getting so much healthier.

So better double check with another device before relying on just one. +/-20 is a lot!

Did you actually go to Doctor using manual traditional stethoscope pump and compare on the spot using Rossmax and omron ?

Which model allow adjustable ? reading ?
