Basically, yes. Some owner will keep chin in room temperature which they can survive as well but not enjoying live. Provide some other useful items to help them reduce heat like cooling pad, ceramic house, it will help them alot.

Yes, they will. Just leave them alone, nature will take it place, dont do anything or wear panties for them!

wah... some more got cloth for your chin buibui. I will suggest not to let your chinchilla wearing anything, they fur is good enough to warm them, putting more cloth on your chin is putting more risk to make your chin die in heat stroke. Do you know how many hairs chin have in 1 follicle? Do you know how many hair in 1 follicle in human begin?
