I read from greenwood chinchillas i believe oh and i hope someone will be able to provide me with a picture of a good chin cage(more specifically the bottom of the cage wheter it is wired or solid[so that i may out wood chips])
sorry for all the questions cause yeah i am really aiming for a chinchilla oh an if anyone knows any breeders that sell chin kits please tell me |

Just want to ask a Question. Can chinchillas live outside your house? and are there any temperament differences between male and female chinnies?

Ah I see...and you are quite right my friend's cousin's chinchilla feels a bit wet. i think it needs more dust baths...and it's eyes are discharging...better recommend my friend's cousin to a good vet...oh and i am getting a standard grey kit which my friend is still taking care of until next week...(will be three months old by then)... they are so cute

Ok i just called my friend's cousin up. She sent the chin to a vet and guess what... it's having a cold. I kinda am pissed of at her right now and scolded her. Now Mei(the chin) is on liquid antibiotics(plus some eucalyptus oil fragrance[according to the vet it improves their appetite and gets them relaxed]) and her cage has been relocated inside the spare room where nothing is kept. Oh and i went out and bought a slab of terracotta for the future chin(to keep it cool). Hope it recovers

Edit: She took the chin to another vet and the chin WAS NOT having a cold....it was just an eye infection. Mei's owner bought eye drops from the clinic and has to flush Mei's eyes twice a day

Hello all I am back! yeppy and i got my chin like 2 weeks ago. Its a standard grey male named Neo(wanted to name it Hubert Von Marshmallow Doofernshimrtz[Don't ask...haha !!]) He settled down quite fast and kinda likes my guitar. Helps sometimes. His cage is 3 stories and here are some pictures.(how to put words on the pictures)

haha!! I love the whiskers. so twitchy and tickleish. BTW when i scratch my chin, it makes a weird sound sort of like muffled laughing and wags it's tail. is this good? it does not jump away though

Hey guys, dropping by to say hello. Neo is doing quite fine. He is extremely manja and kind of hyperactive too. He likes sitting on my shoulder. Oh and i found traces of ringworm fungus on him in the early stage and treated it with anti fungal powder and some anti fungal cream for small animals. He likes the daily scratches and back rubs. Will upload pictures soon. Oh and how do you know if your chin really trusts you and likes you. Also he wags his tail and makes a sort of muffled laugh. Very cute. Will post pictures if he stays still for 5 minutes.
Daily diet: -pellets -hay(alfa alfa&timothy) -1 grape -1 apple cube -1/8 wheat biscuit(No sugar) -2 raisins -3 leaves of dried herb(mint) is this okay for the diet?? |

Hello all~ long time no see, here are some pictures of my chinchilla Neo. Hei is quite a handful at first but a few months later he settled down and and i found some strange new "habits"
1. I let him run around the room and do my Homework on the floor. The moment i turn my head to the books and I look up and I see it staring at me. Pretty scary when you're tired. 2.When I open the cage door and scratch it, it comes closer and turns it's back on me(it wants back scratch) It wags it's tail A LOT. I'm guessing it's a good sign. Oh and is it okay to feed it wheat cornflakes as a snack? Here's the pics as promised. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
