No fan wont help reduce heat for chinchilla, and cannot blow directly to them as well. Fan is to use for ventilation. Chinchilla release heat from feet and ear.

bath everyday?
i've seperate it to another cage, do i need to seperate it to another room?
*
Yes, every day for 2 weeks, after that 3 time a week, then see how it go.

You no need to seperate the chin from another room, unless you get new chin from unknown source, then you need to quaranteen the chin to another ROOM.

bro ang
whenever i touch the leg of my chin hor i think they feel kinda hard..
i read from chinchilla parkplace tat sometimes their foot pad might get too dry/hard n need to apply moisturiser, n they mention Protecta-Pad Cream.
any idea whr can get it? or wat can i do to the foot pad?
*
Is normal, no need any cream. To apply cream is when the chin stand on wire bottom for too long and having bumble feet(will hv blood), then the cream needed to apply.

They feet is design to hock on mountain ROCK, it mean to be rough, so they can jump from rock to rock in the wild.

so the fungus wont spread over to the other chin if i don't seperate them? so do i need to dust bath the uninfected chin as well as precaution?
*
fungus will spread, by contact, not by air. After you handle the chin that have fungus, wash hand. Don't go hold another chin when your hand not wash. Dont part the cage together.

hi, i think my chin is havin fungus.. cos one side of the eye lid had no fur oledi >.< i am giving it dust bath with the powder everyday. i read somewhere saying that it would be more effective if apply the powder directly to the affected area. but then it's on the eyelid and i'm afraid the powder might get into the eye. will it be ok if the powder drop into the eye?
by the way the other side of it's eye is not opening this morning. jus now i try to catch it out and try to see what's going on. then after that it manage to open a bit. i try to drop some clean water into the unopen eye adi. what else can i do? kinda worried.
*
When you get your chin? Your chin may have eyes infection. Please take photo to show, so i can see it clear and know what problem.

No, stop apply the powder on the eyes, it will get the eyes infected as the powder contain poison. You continue to give dust bath, soon it will clear. smile.gif

mean that after 6months it only will become bigger size? ;O
*
no, the size of the chinchilla is depend on the health and the genetic of the chinchilla. For a 6 months chin, the weight should be at least 500gram and above, if 600gram, fantastic. smile.gif

i tink he's trying to tell you that you cant tell a chins age by the size of it. cos those in petshop, normally not not being properly taken care of althought it's already 6 months old it might still weight like a 2 months old chins cos it's underage. and if the chinchilla is not havin proper diet since young it might have possibility that it wont be gaining much weight or growing much smile.gif bro chinchillas, am i rite?
*
Yes, well explaination. smile.gif To add on for princess, I THINK is not that easy to see underage chinchilla sell in pet shop even tho it had, however, underWEIGHT chinchilla is plenty. All chinchilla MUST wean at 2 months/200gram and above to be enable to have save life for the new owner. If you are a beginer, get chin that is older if you want to get from pet shop.

AHAHAHA... sorry, too many, lose count! However, it is the same, they are happy and want to be mate. You can get her a neighbour tho. If you have another male chin and put on another cage side by side, you will see they chit chat. smile.gif if you have another female chin, you will see they running in the cage for playing almost every night. cool.gif

Do you read the link on the first page? You should click the link on the first page to read, then you will know some basic. smile.gif

Chinchilla's fur to meant to protect cold, in the wild they live in cold, dry place that is 15,000feet above sea level.

Pellet n hay offer 24hours aday to your chin.
