Yes I am from MALAYSIA...

You should be able to see some chins is available for sell at market at this moment , pet shop like Mid Valley Pet Wonderland, Pet Safari, and some others chain pet shop. You may also do more study on the basic need of chinchilla before you go to see from pet shop, if you been looking for sometime, i believe no matter how's the chin look like you will also want it.

Well, I would said to purchase every animal they involve a certain amount of money depend on the price range of that animal. For chinchilla for starting, including the cage, pellet,etc. you need to have RM1500.00 to get a discern chin and cage. You also need to know you need to set aside some other neccesary like vet visit(even tho I don see any vet can be trust to treat chin at this moment), sometime anything happen you still need to go vet TO GET THEIR Med which only can get through by a VET. Reading is your first thing need to do, not rush into getting a chin, when you have a chin by now you wont be able to fully enjoy it with a little knowledge you have, chin suffer, you suffer.
Lastly, if you still depand on your parent to support you for finance, chinchilla is not a right pet for you at this moment.

They got 2 chinchillas at Midvalley PW... I just went there on saturday...
can't see them because they were hiding inside the house -.-"

and well... u can found lots of them at pet safari in ikano...

For my boy i will do everything....

grey chinchilla at pet shop can b found around rm650..make sure u select the healthy ones...
then u fork up another hundred or two...DIY the whole cages...
can even design all sorts of gadjet n things to play for em..

Can also,but for her case extra money needed for vet bill.

grey chin is cheaper than white chin or other color chins??

Ya standard grey is cheaper compare with other colour. Standard grey can go to high price if it is a good quality. I saw Petmart selling a extreme poor quality grey for 1200. Crazy!
