Well if support is thrown behind Hamas, the support is for everything Hamas does both good and bad. Unfortunately their bad causes a lot of suffering.
Problem is many Palestinians supported Hamas and their rockets, especially early 21st century.

Plus Hamas won majority in elections previously. If majority of Palestinians are against what Hamas does, how did Hamas win the majority in elections previously? This part is confusing.
Did those that vote for Hamas want the violence, or they didn't know Hamas were using militant and extremist methods?

I just pity those that don't want anything to do with conflict but get dragged in. Like below example:

So macam kena con la. At least you're aware of this but there are many others who support what Hamas does, just to get the land back. They will claim majority Palestinians support the killing.

But whatever it is, Hamas gained popularity and power which led to their actions today and the suffering they contributed to. Whether their elections were fair and the PA was corrupted or not, many outsiders wouldn't know the true picture.

Just like outsiders will not know we are against things like Doraemon minister, and just claim we voted her in and supported her.
