I've seen the bracket too at senheng, quite pricey compared with what is selling in lazada or shopee.

but i have no chance to compare build quality between both items. thank you for your input. Mungkin ambil dengan Senheng jugak la bracket tu.

thanks for the info

Hi, wanna ask Sifu Sifu sekalian. I am getting a new TV to replace my old Samsung 48inch J series which dies last week.

Earlier on was eyeing on 55inch X90J, and slowly kena poisoned to 65inch A80J. Is in my moderately lit living hall, couch is 7 to 8 feet away. Main user is my 70+ mum.

Is it worth to get A80J? As most of the content I watch are unifiTV, iqiyi, YouTube (include some low quality content) etc. Or should I save that 3k to 4k and just go with 65inch X90J? I was observing the promo videos in the showroom a few times, and really the X90J just not as pop as the OLED (especially there's one night Ariel city view, I was basically stunned...) But I am not sure will the different be that big when viewing those content I mentioned above... Will be a big disappointment if I fork out a fortune for that OLED bandwagon and later find out that I am better off settled with the good mid range FALD TV.....(this 65inch A80J is about 3x the price of paid for my Samsung...nvr buy such expensive TV in my life....very sakit if making the wrong purchase)

Please help, thx!

My exp with A80J, really need a dim/dark room to truly enjoy it. If in living room, bright or semi bright, it hurts the overall picture. I have the Panasonic fz950 55” (oled also), it looks better in my living room compare to a80j, but i make peace with it for now. I was lucky to get a80j 65” frm desa home during the 12.12 promo, really good price, so not gonna complain.
So if you gonna put it in ur living room, better stay off oled. But in dark room or dim, the OLED colour is truly amazing (after the run-in hours).

Thx for the feedback. That's also my concern because my living hall is quite bright, so am thinking may not be fully benefit from the OLED thingy. Until I understand the tech further, gonna settle with the Mid range X85J for now. Also probably enough for my use cases.

Btw, from my observation in Showroom, altho X90J is much superior than X85J, it still did not produce that Pop effect I wanted compare to A80J. Hence another reason why go for X85J for now..

Here's a quick review that I have after using my X90J about a month or so:

Pros:
Lovely colors out of the box. I didn't change any display settings but it's very good for me. Also take note this is my first 4K TV so the experience might varies from people to people.
Can Airplay with iOS devices.
If you like photography, you would appreciate on the shots taken by Sony DSLRs. The pictures are available something like a screensaver on your TV.
GoogleTV as OS.

Cons (again, if you don't look for the issue you wouldn't even notice it):

May add something else if I notice anything else in the next few months of usage/explore.

Mostly has to do with the Local Dimming system .

The X90K , is still largely an upgrade over X90J . It comes with 54 FALD zones and 1000 nits peaks , subsequently a major boost in color saturation as well .

Unfortunately , also because of the tremendous increase in screen luminance ( 25% - sustainable 865 nits is really bright for TV ) , despite of the already an upgrade on Dimming Zones it fails to keep up to suppress blooming and other " light pollution " issues such as the black uniformity , which also affects Contrast .

In comparison , the Samsung TV which can reach similar brightness has over 700 dimming zones from Mini-LED . [ and also more pricey ]

In general , it is still an upgrade if you are getting it for a living room . Otherwise , just stick to X90J .

Dear sifu sifu sekalian. I just bought my X90J recently and I noticed that my TV is unable to connect to my WiFi. I have tested on both TIME Broadband default router as well as TP-Link Deco, both also failed.

I have tried resetting the whole TV to default setting but still the same.

Appreciate if you all can share some insight.

Thank you

Try with your phone hotspot also. Connecting to wifi should be a simple process, unless you have set some restrictions on the router.

Thank you. Maybe I will give it a try. I wanted to login so that I can use the AirPlay but I think both the iPad and the TV has to be connected to the same WiFi.

Probably no burn in risks, better in a brighter room, and have the option to add in bravia cam.
