Finally, pulled the gun on X90J from Senheng, which comes with additional 13-month warranty/insurance on top of a 24-month manufacturing warranty plus approx RM 2000 ringgit worth of cashback for the next senheng purchase item.

After some discount, managed to get RM 5453.00 for the tv.

Now study which bracket is suitable together with appropriate viewing distance and height.

Also is there any possibility to purchase an additional warranty from Sony and how?

Any advise from Sifu sekalian ?

Woah, 65inch?
Cause I saw senheng sell 7k for 65 inch.

Or you include their cash back in your calculation? So you pay a total 7k but next purchase can get RM2k discount back hmm.gif

For your question, you can go through here and ask for Extended Warranty
https://web.sony-asia.com/my/contact-us/?toe=#contactform

The price is vary on product type and the range of product's price

I just used the bracket that SenQ sold. Feels lot more sturdy than my old bracket.

no no. x90 is 120Hz. but LED. lg c1 & a80j are OLED tvs. different level.

x90 is actually a very good tv for bright or moderately-lit environment.

Thanks for your input, I've since gotten the A80J and am pleased with it.
You're right about the room, I need to make it quite dim to enjoy the OLED.

Final price i get is RM 5453.

I just paid RM 5K++ and get an additional RM2000+ inside my senheng app cashback for any next purchase item. but in order to entitled this promotion, need to be Plus One member of senheng.

Thank you for the input on the extended warranty. i'll try to contact SONY later.

I've seen the bracket too at senheng, quite pricey compared with what is selling in lazada or shopee.

but i have no chance to compare build quality between both items. thank you for your input. Mungkin ambil dengan Senheng jugak la bracket tu.

thanks for the info

Hi, wanna ask Sifu Sifu sekalian. I am getting a new TV to replace my old Samsung 48inch J series which dies last week.

Earlier on was eyeing on 55inch X90J, and slowly kena poisoned to 65inch A80J. Is in my moderately lit living hall, couch is 7 to 8 feet away. Main user is my 70+ mum.

Is it worth to get A80J? As most of the content I watch are unifiTV, iqiyi, YouTube (include some low quality content) etc. Or should I save that 3k to 4k and just go with 65inch X90J? I was observing the promo videos in the showroom a few times, and really the X90J just not as pop as the OLED (especially there's one night Ariel city view, I was basically stunned...) But I am not sure will the different be that big when viewing those content I mentioned above... Will be a big disappointment if I fork out a fortune for that OLED bandwagon and later find out that I am better off settled with the good mid range FALD TV.....(this 65inch A80J is about 3x the price of paid for my Samsung...nvr buy such expensive TV in my life....very sakit if making the wrong purchase)

Please help, thx!

If your content is mainly 4K, and if you have the money to burn yes you should get A80J. Else, you can just get the X90J.

I found some cons while using X90J, but really if you don't look for the issues then it shouldn't be a problem. If I have the money I would have bought A80J. But one must live within their means biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Here's a quick review that I have after using my X90J about a month or so:

Pros:
Lovely colors out of the box. I didn't change any display settings but it's very good for me. Also take note this is my first 4K TV so the experience might varies from people to people.
Can Airplay with iOS devices.
If you like photography, you would appreciate on the shots taken by Sony DSLRs. The pictures are available something like a screensaver on your TV.
GoogleTV as OS.

Cons (again, if you don't look for the issue you wouldn't even notice it):
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

May add something else if I notice anything else in the next few months of usage/explore.

Ok thx. After some consideration, I gave up the A80J offer and went for X85J. Found a deal at RM4K (65inch). Might not be the cheapest compare with 11.11 I believe, but probably fit my need and wont break my bank for now. biggrin.gif

Nope, they're only offering Bravia Core on K series in Malaysia for now. Who knows one day Sony is kind enough to give us access as well tongue.gif tongue.gif

Normal LED tv is best for 'set and forget' environment, coz broadcast channels will have still image (the channel logo) which is not good for prolonged OLED usage. Buy OLED for your bedroom brows.gif

Lazada
https://s.lazada.com.my/s.VrUN0

I read somewhere cheapest order during Lazada sales was rm3500+, even 65 90J is just 4999, so cheap that time....

Now 90j cheapest I found on Shopee reputable seller is rm5.6k, can't justify that for only FALD etc, as my use case is playing TV show/drama contents in Living Hall not Dark room, I think all these may not be that crucial...
