Lol, late 80s that time I often hear people said puasa 1 full month then only can raya 1 full month.

Syawal is the month where muslim celebrate Eid.

Normally it used to last a few days. But with our neverending open house we used to have before covid rage, people 'have' the whole month of syawal to celebrate it.

if liddat then why issit 'Hari' Raya instead of 'Bulan' Raya?

because of whole syawal month = sebulan

but the festive only 1 day

because they are masterrace, so got 2 days of holiday

why its a month? for commercial sakes, like how other festives take 1 month of promotion

You can 'celebrate' for one month, nothing official about it. The only day important enough is the first day after puasa is over for prayers, otherwise all relatively the same. Government only acknowledges two days for public holiday purposes since most end up travelling to hometown anyway, so better have longer holiday since nobody working anyway.

I think same as chinese lor, first 2 days is of course big day. and the rest is quite small but still count as raya days too. it's 30 days in total.
