If not load bearing technically no issue..my management office say i can even drill a watermelon sized hole in non structural wall.

Is your contractor armed w all the drawing/plan for ur unit? If there is no beam in the location ie all brickwall it makes no diff.

Thats a usable option, ask MO on the beam sizing
