Hello Sifu, I am looking for 4 pcs tyre replacement for my honda city 2014 V spec. MY driving style is casual driving and monthly driving distance about 3000+KM due to work. My driving style is casual driving , not racing type. Currently using Conti CC6. It is quiet, comfortable compare stock tyre good year (forgot which model). However, CC6 handling wise really disappointing especially on the wet road or rainy days.
Here is the list i compile. Do let me know your thought on this.
1) Hankook Ventus Prime 3 K125 2) Continental UC6 3) Michelin XM2+
MY preference would be satisfactory handling especially during rainy day, long lasting, quiet. Thanks.

Goodyear ATM 2 or Hankook VP3 should be your best bang for buck.

I am in the same situation as you, driving 2014 City but the previous model. Currently on CC6 but grip is not good, not very confident on wet road. Now my rear tyres are going to wear out and I'm looking to choose between UC6 and XM2+. XM2+ is slightly expensive but it provides good mileage and fuel consumption, while UC6 is cheaper and have better grip but it will not last as long as XM2+.

You wouldn't want a tyre that last too long because it means that the tyre is on the hard side.. My previous experience with xm2 is once the tyre gets older, it is hard and noisy like hell. This xm2+ probably improve a bit but its still an xm2 though. My recommendation is UC6.

The difference would be -1.3% in diameter for 195/50R16, +1.7% in diamter for 195/55R16. If wanted closed to original size, 195/50R16 would be better. If the number diameter difference too high eg. more than 2% it might affect the accuracy of speedometer. Can use this website to check, just key in original size and look for alternative size: https://tiresize.com/tyre-size-calculator/

Dont think 195/50R16 is an OEM size hence finding for choices are quite limited. You are better off with OEM size for variety.

Currently i'm using continental UC6 for about 3 years & i had clocked in distance of 70,000km. It is the time to get a new set for my 4 tyres. The UC6 comfort, handling experience is much better than PC2, CC6 & Bridgestone Turanza ER300
I'm thinking to try out Hankook Ventus Prime 3 this round. Any one has the review for Hankook Ventus Prime 3?

Falken tires are distributed by Stamfort tires Shah Alam. https://www.stamfordtyres.com.my/ziex-ze310r-ecorun/They do have 185/55/R16 for Falken ZE310. Some tire shop dont have relationship with them so will purposely try to push other brand or in-house available tire to clear. They have official retail shop and i have personally call them and ask for quote & shipment details before. It can be done if you got the will. https://www.stamfordtyres.com.my/retail-workshop/This post has been edited by littlefire: Sep 8 2021, 06:08 PM

That UC6 for me not yet reach premium touring level. Still touring level same as cc6, just more grip than cc6.

MC5 previously is under Premium Touring Category and upgraded to UHP level for MC6 So UC6 now is replacing the MC5 place and should be under Premium Touring level. Oversea website also market UC6 as Premium Touring Summer tyre designed to be fitted to Passenger Car

FYI, the traction value is not for handling. It is for the tire’s ability to stop in wet weather situations. In other words, the AA rated tire will have a shorter braking distance on wet road surfaces than the C rated tire. https://www.prioritytire.com/blog/tire-temp...re-rating-utqg/
