how to know frequency of autogate remote?

want to upgrade my autogate to allow control from phone, noticed there are multiple frequency autogate remote control might be using, i wonder are there anyway to tell what frequency my autogate remote is using ?

Some key/locksmith shop has the box that detects frequency they can set for you. I think it cost me 5 bucks last time. This usually means you can enable learning mode of the device, then use the remote according to the instruction. The device will learn the commands/frequency by receiving them.
