I wanna buy a good set of badminton shuttlecocks..
But I dunno what brand is good..
Anyone can give me some guides on how to choose a good quality shuttlecock?
Last month I bought a dozen of Dunlop shuttlecocks at the price of rm26.90, but each time we play can use up to like 5-6 pieces...

My group use Protech Tournament, Yang Yang Victory (I think), Fleet and Victor. All of them are around RM 40+, standard price of many good mid-range shuttle.

This is what I think of them:

Yang Yang - good durability
Protech - overall good, less durable than Yang Yang though
Fleet - highest speed among the four, might overshoot it. laugh.gif
Victor - slower than Protech but same durability.

If you love durable shuttle, I suggest Yang Yang. If you want cheaper than Yang Yang shuttle, take Protech then. The price difference around RM 2-5 if i'm not mistaken.

At uni, we used Sea Lion but the durability is inconsistent IMHO. Don't know why... blink.gif

Don't know about Yonex shuttle though because it's too damn expensive. But it's damn good especially the flight speed and feel. Sometimes we would "steal" one or two from the training group near our court. They use AS-30 or 40 if I'm not mistaken. laugh.gif

Our group uses RSL Gold priced at RM42/dozen. Good durability and very consistent compared to RSL Silver or Official.

AFAIK most of the shops around Klang (Meru & Kapar) area sells RSL Gold for between RM 42 - RM 44. Not much more than that.
RSL Silver ~ RM 37 & RSL Official ~ RM 34.

Maybe because the company that imports them is based in Southern Park, Klang (address on shuttle container)
