Even if is the same, one shouldnt cancel family medical card as you will need it if your next co doesnt provide one. This post has been edited by mini orchard: May 7 2021, 04:09 PM

usually coverage personal and company is different. keep the existing card. if you admitted outpatient/inpatient use the company card first

Company med card just offers basic protection. Low limit.
Better keep own med card.

QUOTE(effectz @ May 11 2021, 11:00 PM) Company give laptop you buy your own laptop? What about car? Got the idea? When you resign, you can cont to buy own laptop or car. For medical card, when you resign, you may not be able to buy medical insurance once you have certain medical conditions or buy with exclusion clause or very high premium. Btw, drs also buy medical policy ... infact higher coverage than ordinary msians. Got the idea ? This post has been edited by mini orchard: May 12 2021, 06:50 AM

keep ypur own. use company's in the meantime.
company's one is yearly renwable. usually don't have lifetime limit, reset every year. you "break glass on emergency" also will magically see it getting repaired next year like nothing had happened.
your own on the other hand usually have lifetime limit, cannot reset. sort of like "break glass on emergency" only once.
