Hey guys! So I have taken my first dose of AZ vaccine at PWTC noon just now.
Male, 27 yo, Chinese, healthy with no hospital admission record.
No medication, no allergies.
Note:
1) It seems PWTC allow whole family to take the vaccine in same slot even if they gotten different time/date slot, remember to check with the staffs there. My gf family tried and it is allowed.
2) Anybody received COVID vaccine must wait for 14 days before being allowed to donate blood, called Pusat Darah Negara and they confirmed this.
Summary:
1) Smooth vaccination process, overall takes 30 minutes for queue and consultation, 10 seconds to jab, then another 15-20 minutes for observation. The staffs and volunteers there very nice and helpful too, no shouting no garang no bad attitude.
In total, took 50 minutes to settle everything.
Oh ya if possible bring your own pen, coz need to fill and sign consent forms there. Or you can just borrow from staff / fellow vaccine receiver nearby. I don't see the pens being sanitized la, maybe they do it periodically only.
Aircond a bit strong, wear jacket if you are takut sejuk kind. Dont wear long sleeve shirt though otherwise susah to jab your arm.
2) Better take grab there, passed by the parking lot and it looked super full. Not sure about the parking at Sunway Putra Mall though.
I went there for lunch after my jab, the mall itself looks not crowded. No Raya decoration and feel too...
3) There will be a 1 to 1 consultation with doctor before the jab, can prepare your questions and concerns then consult them.
Questions asked quite standard la:
- Any illness or not
- Taking any medication or not
- Any allergy or not
- Any severe symptom from past vaccination or not
- Pregnant or breastfeeding or not
4) Dont worry the jab not painful, and really very fast. Saw the expiry date of the vaccine of my batch is 30th June though.
Wonder if the vaccine is near expiry, will it be less effective?
5) Symptom wise, it's been 3 hours already - other than a bit soreness, no scar no swollen yet.
6) Next jab should be 12 weeks later, so I guess next jab is around final week of July.
Will update here in case I developed new symptoms lol.
