Got my AZ jab 2 days ago, yesterday started noticing around 10 red spots on my body (non itchy and non painful), some very tiny and some a bit bigger. Bright red.

Today got more. Anyone of yall experienced this too? Will be going clinic later to get it checked out, but I wonder if I’m just being too paranoid.

Yeah good luck bro, stay calm as being anxious won't solve anything. Know the next action for you to do, and do it.

Hope to hear from you on the findings smile.gif

I went to a clinic nearby and the doctor told me that it’s a bit early to determine if it’s anything more than just a reaction to the vaccine, so I can continue to monitor a few more days. If I get more spots or if I get more serious episodes of breathlessness (I had very short breathless / chest pain episodes today - one in the morning and one in the afternoon, but over in a few seconds), I should head to a hospital for a more comprehensive check. Doctor said if it’s something more serious they can usually tell after a week or so.

Guess I’ll just monitor at home for now and keep my fingers crossed!

Right now I’m not running any fever and my major body aches seem to have gone. Only having some dizziness / lightheadedness which is new.

Can you take photos and share here? I got AZ last Saturday and so far have been fine other than the fever that lasted 1.5 day.

Just a few examples of what they look like - there’s a few more on my face, chest and back; and tinier ones on my arms. Doctor said probably not an allergic reaction since they’re not itchy and they don’t seem to be rashes.

the new appearances of these spots appeared how soon after vaccination?

how many of them surfaced after the shot?

are you over weight or obese? do u have healthy diet? high carb/sugar intake? do u smoke? cardiac exercise often prevac? age? any pre-existing condition(s)?

do u previously have any allergy to medicine, if yes what medicine(s)?
*
I got my vaccine on 1/6, I started noticing the spots at night on 2/6. This morning 3/6 a few more appeared.

Not overweight or obese, within healthy weight for my height. Diet can consider quite okay, eat fruits and veges and I don’t really snack. I don’t smoke and before I sprained my ankle about a month ago I used to jog and do home workouts. 29 years old, no pre-existing condition. As far as I know, no allergy to medicine but since I’ve never really fallen very ill (touch wood), the only medicine I take is like Panadol or cough meds hahahaha

It’s a bit more bright red irl, but I hope it’s nothing also! Got a couple more new ones this morning 😅 maybe, maybe it’s just a minor allergic reaction or something

Hey guys!

So sorry coz I’ve been MIA - I rarely log on to this forum and work’s been a bit mad.

Glad to update that I’m alive and kicking. The red spots are still there and as bright red as ever, and a few new small ones popped up.

Got a second opinion from another doctor last week after I started having short dizzy spells, but was again just told to monitor and that I shouldn’t be too alarmed unless I start having noticeable breathing difficulties.

I was looking around online, and came across some tweets of people getting similar bright red spots after the AZ jab, but they actually went a step further to get a full blood test done. Results apparently came back clear. Could be just that this is actually a minor side effect, maybe?

Thank you for all the concern!!!

Glad to see your reply here. We all thought u gg already lol. Any other side effect until now?

Thanks man hahahaha

I think the last round of dizzy spell last week was the last of it. I generally feel way better now and not experiencing any dizziness or other side effects like headache or numbness in limbs. I’m just staring at the red dots and waiting for them to disappear 😄

The redspot never faded or gone since u had it after the jab? It just become more and more?

Yep, all the spots are still there, just new ones coming up 😅 this latest batch is the biggest patch so far though and the skin underneath feels quite tender. Just gonna keep… monitoring… (I’m so sien of this word by now hahahah)

Just checking on u bro. Are you recovered from the red spot? Are u planning to take 2nd jab?
*
Thanks for checking in bro. All the red spots are still there, no change for over a month now lol.

I actually went to a private hospital to get a basic blood test and chest x ray done, because my chest aches were getting more frequent.

Results came out clear, but the doctors weren’t able to explain what caused the chest aches (when press on the skin it doesn’t hurt more, so it’s internal and not like an external injury), or even the red spots (not itchy so it’s not allergies, and when press on it they don’t disappear, so it’s indicative of internal blood spot too). Like another guy in this thread mentioned, doctors just said it could just be some form of side effect to the AZ vaccine hahahaha

Doctors also cleared for me to take the second AZ jab, so I’ll go ahead and get jabbed early Aug - at the rate all the MCOs are going, I’m just looking forward to getting fully vaxxed at this stage 😅

pls describe the position of your chest arches. if your heart needs to pump harder, it might indicate blood viscosity went higher or blood vessels/veins congestions.

check the blood thickening lab parameters to see if it diverges from the means, please feedback further.

My chest aches are on the upper left side of my chest, just below my collarbone area. It’s more like a dull ache (not sharp pain), and it comes and goes. Actually started having it around the same time the red spots appeared (3-4 days after my first jab), but it was only maybe once or twice every few days for a few seconds. When I decided to go for the hospital check, I was getting the aches about 1-2 times every hour. Now it comes and goes but not as obvious already.

My own experience, the private doctor only good when u see the specialist doc, or one that recommended by many. Rest private doctor sometimes give reason of no idea.

While general gomen hospital, they will try to do another test to check on what causing the symptoms. So better explanation.
*
I see… yeah I agree. With all the news about how hospitals are already maxed out though, I was thinking better not to take up another slot at a government hospital which could be used to attend to more critical patients instead? Hahahaha I figured that the results of the blood test and x ray should be sufficient

Hey bro I have the same chest ache on the upper left side of my chest which is dull ache which cause some sort of breathing difficulty sometimes. This appear around the 4th day.
This is my 6th day and I’m still having some sort of chest ache.
So I’m kinda worried and wondering what should I do? I was thinking of visiting a hospital but I’m also scared of hospital cause of the high cases.
*
The doctor which checked me said that I did the right thing by getting it checked, even if we think it is minor and (luckily) did not raise any red flags in the end. This is because the vaccine is still so new, it’s better to be safe than sorry in this case.

The private hospital I went to had an outdoor clinic (under a tent). Just maintain your distance, double mask and wear a face shield to be extra safe. If possible, try to call the hospital ahead of time to see if you can schedule an appointment to reduce waiting time at least.

Hope everything goes smoothly for you bro! Fingers crossed it should be nothing, but better to have a peace of mind and get it checked up if it’s bothering you.
