do you experience lag, stuttering when opening programs and/or using the PC? if not, probably 8GB RAM is enough, but most sifu will say min 16GB... YMMV

Depends on what you're doing on your PC
If it's just those as you mentioned earlier, enough d If your laptop or desktop is currently running on a single 8GB stick, then just buy another 8GB stick if you can find some cheap units However, if you're running on a dual 4GB stick, then you're out of luck as buying 2x8GB is going to cost a bomb now that DRAM prices are increasing |

Chrome memang kuat makan RAM.
If need close something in the chrome... else still enough... when it is 100%, WIndows will use the HDD as extra ram. if ur system is always on the 100% utilization, then need add ram... |

QUOTE(carpathia @ May 4 2021, 10:52 AM) How many tabs do you have on your chrome? the more tabs, the more ram.But if you are only using the pc/laptop for work which means just Microsoft Offices or so (non-creative softwares), don't need additional ram lah. |

QUOTE(carpathia @ May 4 2021, 12:10 PM) i see macam nothing intense other than zoom but thats the weird thing...even without zoom it runs damn hot lol What’s going on with your zoom wor? You might need to install some monitoring software to check your heat, sometimes you feel hot but it’s still almost ok. But your zoom power usage is very high. That one I’m not so sure if it’s normal or not. It’s using a lot of GPU power, 1080p video setting ah? This post has been edited by miyakochan89: May 4 2021, 02:19 PM |
