After 2 days of not using my pc, today I tried opened and it doesn't start up. The LED on the MOBO actually lights when the power supply is on, but when I press the start button, nothing happens as if something is broken. So I thought maybe some parts are fused or something, as soon as I got it onto the pc shop, it opens like no problem. So then we suspect is was a grounding issue in my house. My housemate believe there was a lightning struck very near to our house yesterday. So now I have no idea what should I do, call TNB or outsource electrician? I doubt they will kept saying it was my pc problem lol. Just so you guys know that I am using a high end pc so totally no cheap parts. I tried googled everywhere but can't seems to find any solution. Please help!

TLDR
1. PC only cannot be opened in my house (MOBO lightning on but start button nothing happens).
2. PC can be opened in PC shop and 2 of my friends house
3. Tried using direct plug and tried all socket in my house, still doesn't work.
4. Had used a different plugging wire, results are as above.

Try jump start your PSU
https://www.silverstonetek.com/downloads/QA...r%20Clip-EN.pdf
but beware, except the mobo everything else plugged to PSU will be POWERED ON, so be careful.
If grounding problem for example some cabled short circuited the psu will remain powered off as precautionary measure, even negative 5v touched the chassis the PSU will shutdown.

Update: Turns out there's a one and only one socket in the kitchen for the entire house works. Got electrician came over to check, apparently the MCB of the power box was diagnosed unstable, probably caused by a lightning struck few days back and also the box is too old. Now I can only wait for them to proceed with changing the whole power box first. Will update again after changes.

Meanwhile, I would appreciate if someone can introduce me places to buy some long ass single socket extension (~20meter). I tried ACE and Mr DIY and some hardware shop but no luck sad.gif Too lazy to wait for online purchase.

I'm guessing a problem with the neutral connection or rats bite the cable..
