I was looking for a nice small casing this recently to replace my dented POWERLOGIC ATHENA 600... the material of the built were so bad that just the tap on the casing SECC steel give u serious dent as if it's a Coke alu can.

I voted #1... at least the looks of it and my previous experience with ENLIGHT casing dictates my choice. In fact, seeing such design coming out of the common-beige-box casing company is a breakthrough.

If you guys know where I can get em, pls PM me. I'm thinking of calling Meng Chai of C-Zone about this casing because they are a dealer for ENLight casing. laugh.gif

  3. Get ready for this: brows.gif

    Dimension for SG03: 200mm x 360mm x 312mm (W x H x D)
    Dimension for 2142: 190mm x 360mm x 375mm (W x H x D)

hmm.gif not bad, only 6cm in depth difference with SG03 nod.gif

    Weight for SG03: 3.5 KG
    Weight for 2142: ±5 KG
  4. 5" Bay: Hope those cover can be disattach, otherwise gonna face problem with some DVD Burner (like the ASUS case above --> already read a review on the ASUS case, lotsa ppl complaning the drive cover, some drive might have problems whistling.gif )
  5. one thing i love bout Enlight case, their case feet --> they only glue those thick rubber (easy to mod --> add LiLi wheels or somethin which i still haven't mod my 1½ years old enlight case wub.gif ) hopeful they still practice it rclxms.gif
  6. one cons --> the hdd slot will not be cool by teh intake fan doh.gif (look for SilverStone TJ-08 --> same concept like that case, hdd bay is place above the intake fan, resulting no cooling to hdd area) [Link]
  7. only one side panel is removable, the other side u cannot remove it, it's part of the body thumbup.gif (dunno if they still practice it, but it does on my enlight m-atx case)
  8. what do u think bout this then brows.gif i think EN-2143 is way better whistling.gif (well the decision is yours anyway laugh.gif )

Haha...thanks for your reply dudes !!!

Man, I was posting this in the Hardware section and I couldn't find it there... then I do a search...no trace... I guess it must end up in the Case Modding section....gotcha....

SG03... aah... the SUGO izzit? One is Aluminium, another is SECC steel... not even on par...

It seems like ASUS TM-21 is more or less the evil twin of the EN-2412...

Somehow, I find the TM-21 with the rounded corner on top makes look like a Wurlitzer Jukebox...laugh.gif... haha... just a comment, dun get personal.

Yeah, those cover... whether it's detachable or not, more would just remove the front flap of the optical drive instead of the casing's flap but this would cause more dust accumulate within the optical drive and noisier for the sound barrier been removed. With both flaps, it'll stuck.

It seems like EN-2413 is a LENOVO oem casing... in fact, within ENlight's product list, I saw some HP oem casing too... laugh.gif

I know ENLight distri in Imbit but I can't bought from them leh... not a dealer. I used to bought from C-Zone... actually doesn't matter who as long as the shop is sincere and charge me a fair price.

But one thing I would like to know damn bad....

Does it come with an Enlight PSU???

FYI, Enlight PSU wouldn't be something as flimsy as an Icute laugh.gif, in fact the weight of the PSU itself should account for around 20 ~ 30 % of the overall weight of the casing...

Great advice !!! rclxms.gif

Aww... this thing doesn't comes with thumbscrew? not even 2 pieces of it?

Well... there goes my paycheck for the month anyway... need to find time to get it... laugh.gif

U sure the trade-in price of the PSU is RM30 ~ RM50? I expect more for an ENlight PSU, anyway, I'll be needing one anyway, as long as it's not noisy, that'll does the job. It'll be an all night long BT-machine with my 15watt systems.... hehehe

different target market as in ...??? type of chassis (SFF & mini tower)? material used (Alu & SECC)? blink.gif

as for type of casing --> for sure this one can be consider a SFF case already...

look at their dimension:
Dimension for SG03: 200mm x 360mm x 312mm (W x H x D)
Dimension for 2142: 190mm x 360mm x 375mm (W x H x D)

just 63mm difference of depth (not so noticeable unless u use both casing side by side --> for sure can notice one)

as for material used? hmm.gif dunno laugh.gif

I know it'll sounds like comparing MyVi with MazdaRX-8... both 1300cc but on a different displacement, appearance, and range of buyers.

But seriously, to me, a casing is still a casing. When ENlight started to make casing, Silverstonetek also not yet born until ATCS team in Coolermaster dissolves later.

The comparison is strictly cosmetic, not on the material, quality or price... it just that I wonder for the price paid of an Enlight, can we get a casing that looks as good, if not better, than any Silverstone out there. nod.gif

I was looking at an ASUS VENTO slim tower casing too, in white finish (apple-wannabe). Kinda nice but never seen em in Low Yat Plaza before, wonder if it's available or not...

user posted image

Kinda sleek but the price of ASUS casing is kinda bloated and steep. shakehead.gif

This one looked kinda cool...

user posted image

Any luck? I think I might be able to find ENlight but ASUS, it'll always be the bigass ASUS VENTO, not the small VENTO i believe. wink.gif

63mm... that's 6 cm... almost 2 inches...

Well...anyone know which shop in Lowyat sells ASUS Vento series cases? If possible, the WIDEST range...

Added on September 16, 2007, 6:58 pmSigh... I've did a check with Meng Chai from C-Zone last Friday, they are not ordering this model.

Seems like I need to go to the distri to actually ask who would be willing to order on behalf of me.
