Hi guys,

I am building and renovating a house I am moving in the next 4-6 months from today.
I received a quotation from the ID regarding build. Note this is 1st quotation and everything based on estimation. (materials yet to be discussed)

My house is 1,700 sqft link/terrace house double storey

I have some critical questions need your advice.
For preliminary items,
1) Supply cleaning and post renovation cleaning quoted for RM2,500 <-- How cheaper can I get if I find my own?
2) Supply canvas for floor protection for entire residence for RM2,000 <-- This abit wtf? Got so expensive wan meh?

For painting work
1) One side wall painting costs around RM600 <-- Is this normal price? Else I just go and learn how to paint by myself.

For lighting work
1) How much does it cost to install lighting? The wiring already available on the ceiling.

It all depends on the scope of work. Difficult to comment without details.

As for painting, in my opinion RM600 per wall is killer. Ask for a package for inside and outside job.

Lighting and fan labour starts from RM20 onwards for package job.

Finally, it also depends on your location ..... labour charges differ from small town to city.
