Hi all - i'm looking for a folding bike as well, plan to pick up cycling to keep fit

, my budget around RM 3k.
After google around, seems like Brompton is high recommended. However when i ask around, seems like it is out of stock and the waiting list is very long. So want to get this also hard, i need to move to next option.
So i need some advice, since Brompton is the best #1, what is the #2 or #3 brand to consider? The most important criteria for me is easy to fold and not too heavy, i'm just a small girl with 48kg.
I tried to read most of the recent posts as well, Tern, Dahon and Pikes was mentioned alot - any specific model that u can recommend me?
thanks so much!
with 3K you actually have a lot of choices.
I just picked up a new Tern D9 2 weeks ago. Because well, like some other forumer mentioned here, it's better to just go for the best one instead of wasting money later to either repair, or get a cheap one only to find yourself spending more money to upgrade later.
When i was in the shop, I did speak with the shopkeeper and got to check out the other brands. True enough, brands like Dahon, Tern (didn't check out Bromptom cause they don't have), or the higher tiered TRZ (about RM2K+) their joints, body, overall frame feel sturdier. It somehow feels like they are less likely to break down or wobble or something like that. I reckon that's the most important part of the folding bike because if the joints break or are just plain fragile, i don't think you will enjoy your ride.
So imho going for Dahon, Tern won't be wrong. Brompton is more expensive i think? Like much much more.
I did see some people selling Tern D9 about 1-2 months old for RM3K only. Something to consider.

I think some Dahon models or Tern B7 or something are selling for about RM2K or so as well.
