QUOTE(cloudclone @ Apr 26 2021, 11:32 AM) Want to ask, the loan insurance will require us to check medical of got for eg high blood pressure? Checkup is necessary for MRTA/MLTA (or takaful version for islamic loan) as it's life insurance, so if you have serious illness or are considered "at risk" the premium will be higher or they'll add something like "cannot be paid if TPD or death from X disease". Also if you didn't declare/didn't give honest medical history, insurance company may forfeit insurance payout entirely if you decide to claim and they find out.Possible to exempt it or how to reduce the insurance cost? You can choose to not take MRTA, but bank might make you pay higher loan interest rate. You can negotiate down if you're able to find a matching loan offer from other bank with no MRTA. |

QUOTE(cloudclone @ Apr 26 2021, 02:16 PM) Very few banks can beat PBB loan interest rate, FYI. You can try other banks, see which one you're comfortable using. Get the other banks give you loan offer, see which one is better. |

QUOTE(cat2 @ Apr 26 2021, 06:03 PM) buy property need medical checkup? are u at high risk or age group? my first time hear buy property need checkup...can someone highlight reason of this? if you're taking MRTA/MLTA by right you should take medical checkup to rule out any serious disease/risk of diseasein practice people rarely do, but it's a risk if you do so the issue is that in insurance contract in Malaysia (i.e. when they calculate premium for you), if you didn't declare properly and it's subsequently found out you had not-so-nice medical history when you claim from them, insurance company can and will render your contract with them as null and void, and refuse to pay out the insured sum I know people who kena difficulties in MRTA claim because the insured person had surgery and "didn't know need to declare" because to them fully healed liao, donid to worry right? had to fight with insurance company about it you can read about the controversy about how GE rejected a person's insurance claims on critical illness because of past treatment for mental illness, got LYN thread about it This post has been edited by DragonReine: Apr 26 2021, 09:04 PM |
