need to know which iBook. the G3 ones use PC100 or PC 133. the G4 800MHz - 1.33GHz use PC2700 DDR.
oh, they're all SO-DIMM, by the way. |

You have ask a very general question. The answer is "yes", it sure used normal laptop or generic laptop(sony, dell, hp or whatever brand). But you need to know that, different generation laptops using different types of ram.
So please give more info of your ibook. iBook got 2 types, G3 and G4 |

QUOTE(vandetta @ Sep 1 2007, 11:45 PM) If want to upgrade, bring your iBook to shop and try 1st before pay. If Mac OS boot properly then ok la.. If kernel panic came out, then try others la.. I'm more paranoid than that actually. Making sure that it boots properly isnt enough. Make sure to fire up your heaviest apps at the same time to stress test it.I had launched the various apps from Adobe and Macromedia, as well as Office + the other heavy development stuff such as Netbeans at the same time. Then to further add to the crunch, I went further to make sure that Oracle boots up properly and so on too |
