Can anyone help me set an MP3 song as my ringtone and messaging tone please? Not sure where that option is.
Anyone know a better alternative to playing youtube videos than using WM player and how to make it default player?
Also, anyone direct me on how to read/write chinese and to install what programs?

hibiscus,

- u can't set MP3 as ringtone. U need to convert to .WAV to use as ringtone for WM

- install YOUTUBEPLAY to play flash videos. Default WM player can't do that.

- Chinese - sorry, dunno

Never mind, I've already set up the MP3 to be my ringtone, no need to convert it.

To change SMS tone, do the following:

Compose yr tone:
1) Choose any MP3 files you like.
2) Either record it using Sound Recorder or convert yr MP3 to .WAV file. Please bear in mind that a 3 mins .WAV file is very very huge! I recorded a short clip from a particular song, only the chorus.
3) Put the .WAV file in WINDOWS directory.

Change the setting:
1) Go to Settings
2) Select Sounds and Notifications
3) Select Notification tab
4) Under Event, choose Messaging: New Text Message
5) Select the .WAV sound you want.

DONE!

Mike and to you others,

You don't need any additional software to use your MP3 file as your ringtone. Don't even need to convert to a WAV file, that would only apply for using text message sound. blink.gif

The way to do it is simple:

LG-KS20\My Documents\My Ringtones

NOT IN STORAGE CARD, just in your phone's memory.
Place your Mp3 file in there and then go to:

Start>Settings>Phone> RING TONE:
And it will be on that list.

Put as many as you want in and change your ringtone to whatever. cool2.gif

Anyone successfully used the LG's A2DP to connect up a bluetooth wireless audio headset? I can't seem to get mine to connect, even after fiddling about with the bluetooth setting on Advanced config and SKtools, it can't find my headset even though it's turned on and all software is compatible with each other.
