Can anyone tell me the file file path or command line of the FM radio? I am using claunch and need to set file path for the radio icon. thanks..

Dear Ed,

No Ed. i was playing with one of my china client's iPhone. it was so intelligent. for example, i played the little game which i could balance a little "metal ball" by placiong the iphone on my palm, and the phone can actually tilt and balance the metal ball !!!1 Wow!!! and the touch screen was great, i could use my 2 fingers to "open" up a link when surfing the Internet. Wow!!! waiting for the price to drop ... lol. but one thing, the phone is a little too "long" for me.

however, it was truly a great invention.

good evening .......

I see.. I thot u hv one and was wondering why you use a KS20 over an iPhone. Yes, it's a great phone. The only draw back for me is tht it can't take videos.

There are plenty on the sale thread and I noticed, it's getting cheaper and cheaper each day. I sud hv waited and get the iPhone 2G instead of KS20. :S

there are too many versions, and i am confused. there are 1st generation, limited ediction 4g, 8g, 2nd generation 3g, etc etc. better wait. i know you would as you like to customise and tame that Apple!

good day Ed.

I know they are 8gb and 16gb for both 2G (first generation) and 3G (2nd generation). I'm still considering and waiting, prolly won't be getting it until early next year but I'm eye'ing around for good deals. smile.gif

I have installed current versions of most of the recommended software on this forum
iContact
iDialer
s2v
s2p
claunch
thumbcal
pocketpdf
sktools

The only thing missing is perhaps a threaded sms software...I am trying out SmsThreader for wm6 and though its good in a lot of ways, its a little too slow. Plus whenever i send any sms >160 characters in length, I think it gets counted as 4 messages where it should actually count 2!! I want some freeware progam that works well...

iFonz somehow didn't work on my fone...even though I have the required .NET framework installed. i kinda like the Today screen of Windows. Am content with cLaunch which gives me small icons in clean tabs on my screen... I also have a program called UITweaker which enables me to change my today screen text and colours to match my current wallpaper.

All in all, I am really happy with the way my phone is wrking and am looking forward to a lot of tweaking and exploration smile.gif

hello guys! new owner of ks20. thanks for all the recommended software, will download it later.

I got question about opera mini. I set it in the java option to connect to "work" to use wifi, but I scared it will use 3g or gprs connection. any way to verify it?

Welcome to this forum and the KS20 club

Start your wireless connection first before you launch Opera. When the device detects no wireless connection it will automatically launch 3G. When 3G or GPRS is launched there will be a pop up message telling you that the device is trying to connect to 3G. You will still have time to stop the connection by canceling it. Don't be "scared" 3G connection is not that costly. tongue.gif

Hi Studzedward....

Thank you very much for the suggestion, tried the Vito SMS-chat...its really good. Nice scrollable finger-friendly interface. The best part is that the response window shifts up according to the size of the keyboard you are using...the earlier software I tried out was SMS threader and the response window used to get obscured by the PCM keyboard. Only trouble is the phone sometimes hangs when i try to launch the program. Do u have the same problem?

Have you used Nimbuzz or Fring on your phone? I need a software that I can use for Gtalk, Skype and yahoo chat. Unfortunately, both Fring and Nimbuzz don't run on my KS 20. Any other options?

Hi xxboxx,
The keyboards i tried out are PCMkeyboard and Cootek Touchpal. I personally like PCM better coz it is a simple interface and in spite of its smaller size and options range, is way better for finger use. You can get more skins, if u like, on the xda developers site that are more suitable for large fingers, caribbean sky skin, iphone skin et al. I found Touchpal a little slower for my pace of typing, otherwise it has 3 types of keyboard layouts, and a lot more options to play with....

Hi box,

i am using the invosoble shield. so far so good.

it is more 'jelly" to thumbs, highly durable and little less sensitve to swiping, although sms should not be much affected. after the applicaiton, the phone feels totally "different" somehow.

when you are about to apply the shield, make sure you understand the process and the liquid provided.

thanks.
