Tweak For Extreme Speed

I noticed a few of KS20 users are experiencing lag problem on the device. Goto this site and download MemMaid:

MemMaid is similar to SKTools and have a special feature where the program can tweak the device either for Speed, Memory, Extreme Memory or Extreme Speed.

From the MemMaid program goto Jump To>Tweaks>System Tweak>Optimize. Choose your option.

The downloaded software is a for Trial only. Install and tweak. If you like it, purchase or use it until the trial period expires. At least then your device is tweaked to your preference setting. I am not sure whether the setting will go back to default after the expiry of the trial period. I don't think so. I am using a licensed copy.

downloaded and tried to run the exe from my memory card. it says 'it is not a ppc application' and cannot run. how now? the site claims that their software very powerful, and they sounded really good.

At the PC run the program and Active Sync will download this program to your device the next time you connect your Device to the PC. Or run the program at PC while Device is connected to PC

Added on November 29, 2008, 6:19 pmEmm, mission failed. downloaded memmaid and other handy lauanchers. all are working fine and really powerful, but the expected memmaid is NOT FOUND ???? the installation said memmaid was installed together with others. but cannot locate it at all???/ try to install them allov over again after my dinner ... by that time i shd have more energy to fight with my KS20 ... haha.

This was the efect after trying to download MemMaid 3 times and sync with KS20. all other programs were downloaded, and activated, EXCEPT the wanted MemMaid. then, the activesync stopped working and it could no longer connect with the KS20. i guess it crashed or corrupted by then. damned!

On the bright side, the other 3 programs (which were downloaded and :run" executed with the actuvesync) are great: -

HandyMenu - a very useful menu that includes soft reset, power off, rightness, battery level, screen capture etc ...

HandyMenu Quick Action - when i "poked" it, the screen goes black, and no more nothing!!! just press the on/off key the screen comes back to life ... ???

Tap Text - signatures, email templates, reports, meeting notes, financial ...

HandyLauncher - my doc, pocket excel, pocket word, calculator, file explorer, msn messenger, etc

these are trial products and are really "handy". more useful than the KS20 default utilities.

well, going to try out that 'strange' MemMaid if i can ever download and sync it again !!!!!

The best i ve downloaded is the MissedCallReminder. really useful to remind me of the missed calls, except it is long-winded and rings 8 times every time it reminds.

Sunday, 2.15 pm. I turned on the activesync again and connected KS20 to pc.

Surprise Surpise Surprise !!! Suddenly, it was alive and well, and the activesync immediately connected my KS20 and MemMaid was installed in seconds !!!!

(Yesterday, all connections were not detected by activesyns and it hanged. DrWho was correct >> "At the PC run the program and Active Sync will download this program to your device the next time you connect your Device to the PC. Or run the program at PC while Device is connected to PC" )

Now fun time !!! thanks to DrWho's unselfishness in sharing the software. Will tweak KS20 soon.

Ha ha ha .... finally it is working (although i dont know why and how ... both my notebooks are working fine now).

My home PC was infected by virus and I tried really hard to fix it. perhaps too many abnormal reboots, even now when I try to reformat the HDD, it hanged half way thru. All my years of MP3 collections are gone

Even my up-to-date AVG didn't help to protect my PC, *sigh*

How to reinstate your phone after "formatting the hard disc" in your WM smartphone

To avoid losing all your precious data, programs and configuration after a Hard Reset, you should backup all your data including system data. Two good programs capable of this, are Spb Backup and Sprite Backup. Once you have installed any of this program and have backup all your data, you will have no fear of a Hard Reset. I did a ROM flashing and restored all the data, programs and configuration in less than half an hour. The phone was back to its original state without any need to reinstall programs or configuration. I only need to reset the time and date.

I now have no worry of a Hard Reset There is a comparison between the two programs somewhere in the net and Sprite came out better.

Btw, after using the MemMaid, it works a little faster, but strange in that the phone is little slow on some program call-up, such as sms. otherwise i 'feel' safer with MemMaid.
