As title.. I never play all the previous library game of PS2..

If I buy now will I being outdated?

i still play ps2 lo...nope and it won't be outdated hence it's a legendary console.

if a game is fun... it will always be fun. who cares what the graphics look like. it's an absurd way to gauge a game really.
heck... i still play kings bounty and sonic the hedgehog on my megadrive!

agreed. That's why there are still ppl playing CS1.6.. but that was PC .

however, ps2 graphics are still acceptable and good for the current technology..
if u have alot of games that u wanted to play on ps2, why not ??

afterall, ps2 is really cheap nowadays..and it has a wide range of games..

very worthy but if you are a hardcore gamer, better aim high : PS3 is the way to go...

why so?
PS2 has more games for "hardcore" compared with PS3.

IF TS is gonna buy PS2 and all the "nice" game, it might take like a year or 2 to finish them (an hour or 2 per day)

if want to buy, better buy the fat one from garage sales, SCPH 5xxxx one is good enough
slim one suffer from overheating

there isn't any good games for the ps3 now...so I dun think it's gonna be a good buy
maybe 2 years down the road

For me, if i want a console, i will check is that any game i looking for. will those game will release on this console, if got, then it will be worth. Maybe few years ago(b4 xbox360 n ps3 comeout) someone bcoz of god of war, winning eleven, final fantasy, GT and etc... they will never regret to bought ps2.

don't you dare use my nick against me. PS3 sales speak for itself. Their game variety has been damaged and has yet to recover. In case you didn't realize, the review on PS3's latest game - LAIR didn't go well either.

TS...its worth it to buy PS2 now..even next year. U can play lots of...i mean lots of great game from the beginning of the PS2 arena until now!!

I'm actually still waiting for better games to come out. XBOX360 has the interesting games so far - The Darkness, Gears of War...even Blue Dragon. But my loyalty still stays with Playstation so hoping to see more games for this generation of consoles before buying. In the mean time got PSP for portability

My friend also same like me, cannot wait to get PS3. He's at Sungai Wang now survey for PS3 games actually. So far bad news only...he's beginning to listen to GameAxis's article on recommending to get XBOX360 Who wanna poison him towards PSP

see, you also think Sony's game library for PS3 is small. I got consider XBOX360 but the type of games are not what I'm used to play. I'm loyal towards Grand Turismo, Resident Evil, Final Fantasy, Metal Gear Solid, God of War series...and other 1-time mumbo-jumbo they might throw into the PS console. These titles are coming out next year and I may get the PS3 then, or a few months later.

XBOX360's games are not really the arcade-style with story games I like most. Don't misunderstand me, Gears of War, The Darkness, Halo 3, Call of Duty 3...they're all bloody good games too...but its still not what I like or follow.

In addition - SIXAXIS is wireless and the damn XBOX control is wired

but if you get the ps2, its actually hard to find old great title games like they use to...isn't it?

Games arent hard to find, Go to sg wang, You can find alot of old games there .

Recently my mom threw away all my ps2 games over a slight miscommunication .

I went to Sg. Wang to purchase a few old / newer games and i had no problems getting them .

The matter of wether buying a ps2 is worth it or not is pretty clear cut . Its dirt cheap now, and u can buy a ps2 game for something like 3 - 4 buck a piece.

Buy it for now and play to your heart content while waiting for the ps3 to be more value for money.

now conventional bluray burner would need rm2k , while BD-R may cost from RM50 and more

forget about ps 2 man ! no more well known games coming out for it ... All moving towards ps3, FF, Resident Evil, god of war, shadow of colossus etc etc ... u will regret buying it now. Better save for ps 3

i only bought ps2 from lowyat forumers 5 months ago.. no regret.. got so many great game that i wanna play n i dont think im gonna bored with ps2. Maybe it takes 5 years for me to play all the game i like unless i play 24hours everyday...
