During 1997/1998 economic downturn, people jumped down was from hotel roof or high rise building. Betul2 high up one, 20 floors up & higher.
Meaning they really want to bye2 one.
While Melaka here the 9 storey flats at Jln Bendahara became famous place to jump down. Until MPM pad lock the entrances to the top floors. Then,these people go jump down from 6 th floor. At the time still have residents staying at 6th floor.
Now jump down at shopping mall pulak become popular.
