unless u are really into professional video editing works, else i dun think u can utilise the storage as well as the 16GB RAM on an iPad.
there is an rumor suggests the upcoming WWDC apple may release iPadOS version of final cut pro 10 etc. which it believe if it is the case, the extra storage and 16GB RAM will only come into use.

for normal user, i dun think it is worth it.

TB4 capable external device is not cheap, even the dongle to enable TB4 is is not cheap either.

the storage options price gap is quite significant. unless u are really into the things mentioned above, else one may better off to save the money to buy a base model mac mini/macbook air/pro that has the best of both worlds.

i am not into the above categories, i will rather save the extra paying to the high storage/RAM that i will never use use.
personally i find that 256GB will be a nice spot for normal users. 128GB maybe best bang for buck, however, i prefer to pay a bit more for future proof just in case i really utilizes more. and my current iphone is 256GB, i also wants to have my iPad Pro to have the enough storage size for me to restore my iPhone backup in case of needs. also i may potentially use the iPad cameras to take photos or videos given that they are very powerful. It may be weird to do so but i do not want to limit theirs capabilities too. i will likely to use my iPhone as my main device for photos and 4k videos taking especially after i change my iPhone X to the latest iPhone.

For me, 256GB WiFi + cellular 11-inch iPad Pro is what i will be going for.
mini-LED is cool but i will not go for 12.9-inch as i want to carry my iPad Pro around with me.
next year 11-inch may get mini-LED too if supplies become stable. however, i could not wait further as my ipad mini 3 is not with me and I have no iPad to use for more than one year now. I had also delayed my purchase last year for the 2020 one, so this year 2021 one confirmed i will not delay my purchase again.

Given that iPad Pro is so ex. Go with tempered glass and not screen protector.

The only tempered glass I used before which is lasting and remain clear after many years of usage is Moshi brand. Not cheap but really good. But also very very very difficult to find. The rest of branded tempered glass such as Spigen is totally trash. Dropped one time also get cracked.

Nowadays I dun buy branded tempered glass anymore even for my iPhones.

Just buy from Shopee for those no brand cheap one and just change new one when it gets cracked. Much better move than buying expensive and get cracked as easily as no brand one too.

Now the headache is getting the 2021 case, so many seller in Lazada listed their product like "compatible with 2020 and 2021 model". But 2021 model is 0.5mm thicker than 2020 !!!

hi there, yep I have used it before on previous iPads, they are quite well fitted, covers all over which I like, there are few reviews of similar case for the iPad Air all over youtube will link some at the bottom of this reply.

The quality of their cases are average but for the price you pay for RM70 they are quite alright I guess.

Wow your ipad 2 sure last long! I also had the 2nd gen ipad which lasted till 2017. Then i changed to Ipad pro 10.5 which is still working well till today. This will be my first Ipad pro 12.9 

Haha I had an iPad 3 (first one with retina display) back in 2012, found iOS too many limitations for a tablet passed it to my brother after around a year which he used until about 2.5/3 years ago when he dropped it so didnt bother to fix it any more

I then bought an iPad Mini 2 (first Mini with retina) in April 2014 and it has been serving me up until now haha!    however with no further updates and too slow and many app crashes on iOS 12 I think also its time to move on from it

Lets just hope iPad OS 15 (coming soon) will make the iPad Pro (more Pro) and to make use of that M1 chip and XDR Display, after all primary reason why we are going for 12.9 if you ordered that.
