Mine is the Pro 12.9" and it's stil working splendid like you mentioned. I'm just itching to updagrade to the M4 if they introduce the AI feature.

Better to offer something significant interms of tech, rather than little or no difference compared to the exisiting tech.

Actually are you guys hardcore iPad users? I use it to surf the net, answer emails and occasionally scroll through stupid YouTube shorts.

As a laptop, it’s still lacking a lot of basic flexibility and functionality that I’m used to and expect say, from a Dell.

Got my M4 iPad Pro 13 2 weeks ago from HK, been using it as my main workhorse since. The pros, freaking amazing OLED screen, very snappy performance (not that the previous pros arent snappy), love the new magic keyboard (sturdier, better typing feedback, love the function row addition, love the larger track pad). The cons, no cons! Zero regrets getting this baby, this one is a keeper!

i guess for most people, the iPad will always be a media consumption device first, work secondary. for office work that requires suits like Microsoft Office or Google… its quite a pain in the arse.

Damn. My iPad Pro M1 12.9 5G (256GB) battery health is now at 73% via the “ identifying thru analytics data method”.
Bought this back in 2021.

Previously, i checked on march this year, it was at 81%.

Then today it was at 73%. No wonder after i charged 100% and unplugged overnight, during next morning the battery became ~75% already. Or the battery now drains way too fast, like battery charge becomes 40% in less than 4 hours of heavy usage.
And not to mention my Apple Pencil now has this weird discharging to 0% even though it stays on the magnetic dock.

My normal usage:
View youtube videos
Netflix
Reading & annotating notes of research papers
Surfing /k on safari
Read & replying work emails

At office, it’s a perfect companion to complement my Windows desktop.
I also like to bring this iPad Pro around and sit down at coffee shops doing work while listening to music.
12.9” is not a big issue for me to bring around a lot. Some more, i really use Unifi Mobile 5G a lot as i don’t trust those public wifis/private wifis at starbucks and whatnot.


I mean, i really love my iPad Pro M1 to bits, but now i have to make a decision:

A) Should i resell this at Apple MY and buy iPad Pro M4 13” + Pencil Pro + New MK? But I have to topup a lot to get this new iPad Pro M4.
B) Replace iPad battery. Does Apple MY TRX or Switch/Machines offer this service for iPads? How much estimated price?
C) Or i should i just get a macbook air/pro M3?

NominalChargeCapacity: 8772 <- rated battery capacity when it was Day 1
MaximumFCC: 10838
Rated battery capacity (BC) via GSMArena.com (mAh): 10758 <— this one is fixed value, gotten at GSMArena.com

NominalCC / MaximumFCC = 8772 / 10838 x 100 = 80.9% (b)
Or
NominalCC / Rated BC = 8772 / 10758 * 100 = 81.5% ©

(d) Average battery life = ((a) + (b) + ©) / 3 = 81.1%

For IPads they don’t do battery replacements. You pay for the battery replacement costs but they’ll give you a refurbished/new iPad with the same specs.

I haven't checked my 2020 model Ipad pro 11" but the battery also feels fast drain these days now.

My Apple Pencil (gen 2) also acting weird which drain quite fast too.
