nice, but i don't quite like the patch of tree that appears on the 2nd and 3rd pic. The "power towers" are meant to be really tall and big but the patch of trees (particularly top left of 2nd pic) seem to cloud that effect.
The last pic is at a nice angle although would prefer to have more items in the frame to provide a more dramatic sense of scale. (I also don't agree with the smaller pole being cut off like that) my 2 cents.... |

QUOTE(./Hack-Fusion @ Sep 1 2007, 11:00 AM) Yes indeed. I really feel the need of a wider angle when taking that shot. I keep moving forward and backward trying to capture more on the shorter tower but without success. It's been said that "Your legs are the best zoom lens", it seems it's not that true after all. |

My favourite are shots #2, #3 and #4. Love the way the colour of the sky and clouds are! Could do with a little cropping to remove the distracting tree silhouttes on the left side though

ball between the power line... good idea. I just need to be there early next time. I work in Bangi anyway, I pass by that area every weekday.

QUOTE(kelvinyam @ Sep 3 2007, 09:45 AM) Using filter on S3 is very expensive. The converter alone cost hundreds. I guess I'll pass. My Photoshop CS3 will be my filter at the moment if I need any oic..same here.too expensive for me also... still havent' max out my current DC yet, cant go for DSLR although compact DC user like us got limited + expensive accessory, we do have some advantage we can carry it around n never miss those opportunity |

QUOTE(aba9785 @ Sep 3 2007, 10:09 AM) oic..same here. I don't carry my camera around because I'm scared of it being stolen. I never leave it inside my car unless it's few feet away from me. I'll put my camera inside my camera bag and carry it even when I'm having lunch/dinner and not shooting. Let's say that I can't afford to loose it too expensive for me also... still havent' max out my current DC yet, cant go for DSLR although compact DC user like us got limited + expensive accessory, we do have some advantage we can carry it around n never miss those opportunity |
