I think no.2 most likely, it will pass to another bank (depending on which bank decides to take over the loan book, any outstanding amount will be owed to the other bank)

The rewards system of banks are vastly different from each other. There is almost no chance that points can be transferred, they will likely ask you completely use them before the official shut off date
