when u add new fonts into ur phone, u should remember to modify the FONTS.xml also, ( tell the phone where to locate ur new fonts, and wht is its filename ).

no, change fonts still can c chinese words,

erm, since u know nothing abt flashing, maybe u should spend few more hours to learn from google.
for K800, latest stable version by official is R1KG001.

unlock phone, need not flash either main or FS. jz tick the unlock option.
but, which phone model u going to unlock? with wht software?

ya, as long as u choose the correct fonts, chinese fonts.


my method


inside the fonts.xml, i change the fonts path to my new fonts:

i hv been tried many other method for easier font changing, like setting the font path point to our M2 card or phone memory, but fail.
the phone cant read fonts outside FLASH memory.

erm, maybe ur mp3 TAG contain traditional chinese words.. ur phone might only recognize simplified chinese... so this cause the prob.if u use FAR, jz select the file and click the delete button at the bottom.

u try with taiwan MAIN + APAC FS dy?

k800/k810 is db_2020 phone base, currently still cant copy file from phone via FAR.

u can use other way, like write a xml file(the content will be wht file from which folder in phone u want to copy), upload to phone via XS++.

yes, u can perform upload and delete operations.. but u cant download from phone via FAR.

i also add some more:

1 customize phone with our own style.
2 convert k series to W series, to enjoy MEGABASS and better walkman function~
3 no more worry about forget phone lock code, easily reset or retrieve it using software.. haha
4 add any languages to phone, make our phone an International compatible phone, indeed!
5 remove some stricts with VKP patches, such as: unlimited sms storage, increase SMS typing speed, longer SMS ringtones(originally only 8 sec)

ya, because we dont hv software to access MAIN FLASH area to do patching.

ya, i should say yet we dont hv any tools to access the MAIN FLASH area of phone DB2020 with erom CID52.

ya, actually it is 1st found to modify k700(max 100 only, inclusive of all inbox n sent sms),
after that ppl notice that actually the file system on the SE phones sharing the same structure, so it also applies to many other SE models.

FAR is just like a file-explorer, need not any flashing b4 using it.

Actually, if u use other region's Main, u also can hv chinese language support.

two ways to get chinese support:
1 easy way, u flash APAC or China FS.
2 DIY


here is what i hv done for my k750 by DIY
DIY
1 copy the chinese language file and T9 file from another k750(my sister's phone) via FAR
2 replace files in the appropriate place.
3 modify the allowed-language in customize.xml (or simply finalize phone with APAC customize file)

i done this for abt half yr ago, the detail i forget a bit dy.


K800 also can DIY
1 replace original fonts with a chinese fonts (some chinese fonts support both traditional and simplified chinese, even japanese character also)
2 copy language file from other K800 filesystem, copy zs.lng .t9 file to ur own phone.
3 modify the allowed-language in customize.xml (or simply finalize phone with APAC customize file)

display driver, only modify the color of ur display...
ppl modify the brightness, contrast, saturation, hue, gamma and something, for better viewing..

i try some display driver b4, but not so good.. so i stick to original 1.
