The bulk section prices are the same with shops in LY. I'll just buy from shops instead smile.gif

The guy from Compuzone told me they sold both units available but there's a shop in LY that retails Thermalright products. I'll have to try that one tomorrow biggrin.gif

Thanks bro. I think the price is controlled and yes, everywhere is the same biggrin.gif Does the showroom in Edifier keep IFX-14? Preferably I don't have to order first and just buy.

IMHO the IFX-14 is light considering it's size smile.gif

On second thoughts, I should've bought the Ultra Extreme instead of IFX-14

Well, since I've purchased it, I'll just continue using until I get my WC set.

You know what? Me too. Mine is even unused. Sigh...oh well. Maybe I can sell it for Ultra 120 Extreme with a good fan.

When you mount it in a small casing then you'll feel like getting the Ultra Extreme even more biggrin.gif
It's big, bulky and even tough on my CM690. What's more you have to care for the fins during the process, lol.

It is the design...the IFX-14 does not fit a lot of other Thermalright's own heatsinks. Once you use the IFX-14, you cannot use their RAM, Northbridge and MOSFET heatsinks...If you are using MSI's Circu-pipe, then you're a goner from the get-go.
*
I wonder why they'd design something like that and lose selling other products smile.gif
For my case, I can never fit a RAM blower (probably due to my motherboard design too). Well, WC is the next step or a Wolfdale.

clayclws is right and having only 1 fan in the middle isn't the most optimum setup for IFX-14 (unfortunately).

Fans are so cheap these days biggrin.gif I mean if someone wants to get a cooler like IFX-14, he must be serious about the temps so why run it with only 1 fan laugh.gif

Those are just commercialized fans and I would never spend that kind of money on such a fan.

You can get fans just as good if not better even at a cheaper price. The concern is about airflow, not the brand.

Good fans like NMB, ADDA, Sanyo Denki, Panaflo and Papst that aren't commercialized aren't easy to get. They are priced from RM20-50 depending on the size, CFM, RPM and dB.
*
Normally electrical shops would carry some since they are more for industrial usage. They perform just as well or even better than the Silverstone and priced a lot cheaper. Fan controllers can be easily made too (I had 2 on my rig) so that wouldn't be a big problem. For those which are on budget, those LED Icute's are a pretty good buy. I tried out a few 120mm and the Icute gives the best airflow and with that, I bought some (eventhough I don't really like those LED's at first) biggrin.gif

I think it all comes to personal preference but for me, I don't think it's worth to spend on that Silverstone fan. Too expensive and all because it's commercialized sad.gif

how to clean my dusty ultra 120? can i dip it in a bucket of water?

I clean my IFX-14 by spraying water at the fins. Just dry it up nicely before mounting back to the motherboard.

I thought the material used to make the heatsink is "anti-oxidization"? I can see the copper (base of my IFX-14) oxidizing as I lapped it. Bad move biggrin.gif
